Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules are a comprehensive relief medicine formulated to help manage the wide range of symptoms caused by the common cold and influenza. Each capsule contains paracetamol to ease pain and reduce fever, phenylephrine hydrochloride to relieve nasal congestion, and caffeine to help counter fatigue and support alertness.

This dual-action combination is ideal for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over who are looking for effective symptom relief from headaches, sore throats, body aches, blocked or runny noses, and general discomfort due to cold and flu. The inclusion of caffeine also provides a gentle energy boost to help you stay more comfortable during the day.

Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules are intended for short-term use only and should be taken as directed. They are not suitable for children under 16 years of age.

Directions for Use

  • For oral use only.

  • Swallow capsules whole with water; do not chew.

Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over:

  • Take 2 capsules every 4–6 hours as required.

  • Do not take more than 8 capsules (4 doses) in any 24-hour period.

  • If you take a night-time paracetamol product, you may take up to 3 doses in 24 hours.

Children under 16 years:

  • Not suitable; do not give to children under 16 years of age.

Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional.

Like all medicines, Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Commonly reported reactions may include:

Common side effects:

  • Nausea or stomach discomfort

  • Nervousness, restlessness, or anxiety

  • Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)

  • Headache

  • Dry mouth

Less common:

  • Increased heart rate

  • Tremor

  • Difficulty passing urine

  • Skin rashes

    • Contains paracetamol — do not take with other paracetamol-containing products.

    • Not suitable for children under 16 years of age.

    • Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, glaucoma, liver or kidney disease, or an enlarged prostate.

    • Do not take if you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride, caffeine, or any other ingredients.

    • Do not use if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them in the last 14 days.

    • Avoid excessive caffeine intake from other sources while using this medicine.

    • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, consult a healthcare professional before use.

    • Seek medical advice if symptoms persist beyond a few days or worsen.
